Abyssinian is a beautifully light oil which bestows a faint woody aroma and silky texture to any blend of oils. Ultralight, its low comedogenic nature allows it to provide moisture deep into the skin without clogging pores, and so makes it a wonderful treatment for sensitive or acne prone skin-types. It supports the epidermis with a protective lipid barrier which prevents skin from losing moisture due to evaporation of harsh environments. Replenished with linoleic acid (an essential fatty acid which is predominant in our skin cells) abyssinian strengthens our skins defences to leave skin with a lovely lustre and healthy glow.

Rich in oleic acid, abyssinian locks moisture into the skin to help soothe and heal environmental damage. Omegas 3, 6 and 9 are delivered through topical application into our blood stream, for the nourishment of the whole body. It also provides a small but significant amount of alpha linoleic acid, which reduces inflammatory conditions such as dermatitis, and leaves skin soft, supple and radiant.

We use abyssinian oil which has been cold pressed from the small, delicate white and yellow flowers of the European mustard plant. Cold pressing allows the oil to retains its beneficial properties, so abyssinian adds a soft, light texture to our Organic sensitive face oil whilst also deeply hydrating and healing our skin with essential vitamins. Its high content of vitamin A stimulates healthy cell growth, antioxidant rich B vitamins remove toxins from the skin and aid circulation, and vitamin E diminishes pigmentation and scaring. All of these properties make abyssinian an oil which can powerfully soothe and heal sensitive or damaged skin.
